UH receives $1.6 million for Native Hawaiian, Asian, Pacific Islander particular schooling lecturers : Maui Now

To extend and retain extra well-prepared bilingual/multilingual lecturers of coloration, the College of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Faculty of Schooling was awarded a $1.6 million grant from the U.S. Division of Schooling’s Augustus F. Hawkins Facilities of Excellence Program.
Mission Equal Entry, underneath the route of the college’s Division of Particular Schooling Professor and Chair Jenny Wells, goals to create a extra various trainer workforce to serve college students of coloration in rural and distant communities.

The four-year venture, which is able to complement the present rigorous Faculty of Schooling particular schooling trainer coaching applications, is co-directed by Affiliate Specialist Linda Oshita and Assistant Specialist Janet Kim.
